SECOND INTERNATIONAL
SYMPOSIUM ON
IMPRECISE PROBABILITIES AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
Cornell University
Ithaca, NY, USA
26 - 29 June 2001
HOW
TO PREPARE YOUR PLENARY PRESENTATION
Each day of the symposium, there are three
plenary sessions, scheduled from 11:00 - 12:40 (covering 5 papers), 2:00
- 3:40 (covering 5 papers), and 4:00 - 6:00 (covering 6 papers), organised
for a sequence of 20 minute discussions of each of the day's papers.
We have tried to group the sessions so
that the papers have some common theme(s).
Authors are expected to use their individual
20 minutes
-
to introduce themselves and their research;
-
to say a few words about the main ideas and
results of their conference paper, and how this fits into the author's
research activities;
-
and to respond to questions/comments from
the floor (plenary discussion).
Authors should take into account that at least
10
minutes out of the 20 available will be reserved for plenary discussion.
Also, please keep in mind that the first 10 minutes should
not be
used to explain the details of the paper: the poster sessions provide ample
opportunity for doing just that.
